Hello, I’m Emma.

I design a range of hand-painted homewares which celebrate art and nature, bringing a feeling of warmth and comfort to your home.

I’m an experienced Wallpaper Designer with a lifelong obsession with designing and making (as a child my pink paper was rationed to stop me going through the whole stack in a day!) After seven years working as an in-house Wallpaper Designer, I left my job at the end of 2019 to start my own range of UK made fabrics, patterned cushions, art prints and greetings cards featuring my own hand-painted artwork and truly original designs.

I also jumped at the chance of designing nursery prints for my friend’s children’s shop and now have two ranges. I juggle these ranges alongside my twin daughters and freelance Wallpaper Design work.

I’d love to hear from you, get in touch if you have a project in mind and you’d like to work with me.

The Textile Design Process

All of my designs start with my own hand-painted artwork, created in my Manchester home studio. I take an explorative approach to the design process, experimenting with painting and printmaking techniques, before collating ideas to transform into unique patterns. I turn my paintings into repeat patterns and designs digitally before beginning the process of creating my statement fabric, patterned cushions and art prints. A focus on the beauty of colour combinations and natural fibres are integral to my work, resulting in a range of home decor which adds a bit of luxury to the everyday.

My homewares celebrate art and nature with subjects that are intentionally diverse, selecting joyful moments from my own life to capture, hoping that they will then bring moments of joy to your home.

All of my textiles are digitally printed in the UK and I meticulously sample colours and fabrics to achieve colour ways that you will love. My fabrics are then turned into the luxury homewares you see here, by hand selected, UK based manufacturers.

All of the homewares in my collection are designed to be mixed and matched, creating combinations which are uniquely yours.

Eco-friendly homewares

Being as environmentally friendly as possible is such an important part of my small business. All of the homewares and greetings cards in my range are made in Britain and produced in small batches or made to order; this approach helps support British industry, reduces the carbon footprint and limits waste.

The cotton / linen fabrics are woven and printed in the UK, not far from my home studio. The fabrics are digitally printed with inks awarded an Eco Passport certified by Oeko-Tex. Products are also carefully designed to utilise the fabric efficiently and any offcuts are used for samples for fabric by the metre customers.

The greetings card collection is printed in the UK on FSC certified stock, which I choose not to laminate so that it can still be recycled if a customer wishes to do so. Greetings cards are supplied with a recyclable card clasp sticker or compostable cello envelope to avoid using unnecessary plastics.

Art prints are printed to order from my home studio to avoid producing waste and come packaged in compostable cello envelopes.

All packaging is either biodegradable, recycled or plastic free. You can be assured that your parcel will arrive in sustainable packaging whilst also being beautifully wrapped.

I will continue to work to improve the environmentally friendly credentials of my business as things continue to grow and change.
