Hello, I’m Emma.
I design a range of homewares inspired by the joyful moments in life and in turn, hope they bring joyful moments to your home. As an experienced wallpaper designer with a life long obsession of designing, making and textiles (as a child my pink paper was rationed to stop me going through the whole stack in a day!), I’m incredibly excited to be designing and producing my own range of homewares and running my own independent business.
I balance creating my own luxury cushions, wall hangings, wash bags and modern wall art with a variety of freelance textile and wallpaper design work and I’m thoroughly enjoying being able to feed my love of interiors and making.
I’d love to hear from you, get in touch if you have a project in mind you’d like to work with me on. I have experience working on custom wallpaper and textile commissions as well as interior styling for photoshoots.
Environmentally conscious homewares
Reducing the environmental impact of my business is hugely important to me. All of my homewares are designed by me and made in Britain. Keeping manufacturing close by not only supports British industry, but keeps the carbon footprint of the products low. Limiting waste is also important to me, the soft furnishings are made in small batches, only producing what is needed to avoid waste. Any offcuts of fabric are made into my smaller textile products, such as wash bags and Waste Not products.
The fabrics I have chosen are all from natural fibres where possible, either linen or cotton, avoiding the use of synthetic fabrics. All of the packaging I use is plastic free and I use recycled papers for my business and thank you cards. I will continue to strive to improve on the environmental impact of my business and will seek out the best solutions possible.
My design process
All of my textile and wall art designs start with a drawing or painting and I keep a constant list of ideas and techniques to try out. Sometimes the designs are inspired by the process – a simple painting or brushstroke, at other times they’re inspired by memories and joyful moments.
I transform paintings into repeat patterns and designs digitally before beginning the process of creating my homewares. Simplicity and a focus on the beauty of colour combinations and natural fibres are integral to my work, resulting in a range of home decor which adds a bit of luxury to the everyday.
All of my textiles are digitally printed in the UK and I meticulously sample colours and fabrics to achieve colour ways that I love and work beautifully together. My fabrics are then turned into the small batch homewares you see on my site by hand selected, UK based manufacturers.
